PCUH Programs, Projects and Initiatives
The PCUH is engaged in a variety of long-term scholarly, instructional and research programs, projects and initiatives. These are managed and/or conducted by PCUH Faculty Associates. The PCUH in co-operation with community partners is also associated with a number of Community Outreach initiatives that promote an awareness of the local Ukrainian experience and help secure financial assistance for students enrolled in Ukrainian Studies courses at the University of Saskatchewan. The PCUH Programs, Projects and Initiatives are as follows:
Mohyla Lectures
Launched in 1994, the Mohyla Lectures is a series of annual public lectures devoted to a discussion of Ukrainian heritage and contemporary affairs. Selected lectures are published by the Heritage Press, the publishing arm of the PCUH.

Oral History Program
The PCUH Oral History Program is an important ongoing research initiative of the centre launched in 2002. The purpose of this multi-faceted initiative is to support oral history research, focusing on Ukrainian as well as Ukrainian Canadian culture, history and experience.

Public Policy Forum Series
On an occasional basis, the PCUH invites recognized or leading authorities in the field to speak on policy issues that relate to Ukraine and the Ukrainian-Canadian community. The purpose of the series is to introduce a wider community to those policy questions, decisions, strategies and issues that bear on the welfare, security and interests of Ukraine and Ukrainian-Canadians. Within an informal setting, the forum provides an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas while also assessing current developments. Past speakers include:

Conferences, Symposia, Exhibitions
The PCUH sponsors and organizes conferences, symposia and exhibitions on a continuing basis in co-operation with parties interested in exploring the Ukrainian experience.

Spring Session in Ukraine
The Spring Session in Ternopil, Ukraine is coordinated by St. Thomas More College and offers Ukrainian language courses for university credit in an international setting. It is directed at students in Ukrainian Studies and those who simply desire an enhanced international experience. Click here for more information.
Heritage Press
The Heritage Press publishes the research of both PCUH faculty associates and other scholars working under the auspices of the PCUH. As part of its mandate, the Heritage Press also co-produces with other publishing agencies scholarly work in the area of Ukrainian Studies.

Special Community Outreach Initiatives
Ukrainian Artists Invitational
The PCUH provides an opportunity for invited artists to share their most recent work by way of public presentation, performance or workshop. The objective of the initiative is to help promote a wider appreciation of the Ukrainian arts scene and to raise scholarship funds at these events.

Eaton internment Historic Site Project
A special initiative of the PCUH, a memorial was commissioned and unveiled in September 2004 commemorating Eaton, Saskatchewan as the site of a WWI internment camp where Ukrainian Canadian were briefly interned as civilian prisoners of war .
