International Scholarly Symposium
Writing about Talking, Talking about Writing: Orality and Literacy in Contemporary Scholarship

In October 2004, an international symposium Orality and Literacy in Contemporary Scholarship was co-organized by the PCUH and the departments of English and History on the University of Saskatchewan campus. Fourteen scholars from Canada, Singapore, Ukraine, and the United States were invited to take part in this symposium. Dr. Khanenko-Friesen (Shostak), PCUH, Dr. Keith Carlson, History, and Dr. Fagan, English, have co-edited a collection of essays presented at this symposium and published by the University of Toronto Press.
