Community Outreach Initiatives

Ukrainian Artists Invitational

PCUH provides an opportunity for invited artists to share their most recent work by way of public presentation, performance or workshop.  The objective of the initiative is to help promote a wider appreciation of the Ukrainian arts scene and to raise scholarship funds at these events.

Invited artists include:
John Paskevich, filmaker (Winnipeg) 
Luba Goy, actress and comedian (Toronto) 
Julian Kytasty, musician (New York) 
Dani Stodilka, filmmaker (Toronto)
Dr. Brian Cherwick, ethnomusicologist and musician (Edmonton)

Eaton internment Historic Site Project

A special initiative of PCUH, a memorial was commissioned and unveiled in September 2004 commemorating Eaton, Saskatchewan as the site of a WWI internment camp where Ukrainian Canadian were briefly interned as civilian prisoners of war .
