PCUH Opens New Exhibit at St Thomas More Gallery
Curated by PCUH Faculty Associate Prof. B. Kordan, the Prairie Centre for the Study of Ukrainian Heritage has organized in association with St Thomas More Gallery the exhibition Far, Far Away: Postcards from Pre-Revolutionary Ukraine. Consisting of 134 original postcards of Ukraine's pre-1917 urban and built landscape, the exhibit offers a glimpse of a world that is largely no more and a time that is all but forgotten.
The exhibit is organized to coincide with the Annual Conference of the Canadian Association of Slavists and is held in conjunction with the 2007 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The exhibition is part of the official CAS programme and is PCUH's contribution to the Congress.
The exhibition runs May 7 - June 22, 2007, St. Thomas More Gallery, University of Saskatchewan. A Public Reception will be held on Sunday May 27, 12-1:30 pm.
